  1. How can I pay for my taxicab? We accept cash, vouchers, credit and debit cards.
  2. I have a TAP card, can I use it to pay for my taxicab?  Yes, we accept TAP cards. If the driver refuses to take the TAP card, call the office immediately.
  3. How long until my taxicab arrives? In most cases, our taxicabs arrive within 15 minutes, but by using the app, it bypasses the office and goes straight to the closest available taxicab.
  4. How much will my fare be? You can use the rate chart to help you estimate your fare. All the rates are set by the City of Frederick.
  5. What do I do if I lose an item? Yellow Cab will not be responsible for items left in vehicle, so please check before exiting. Contact an operator at 301-662-2250, or email us at agnimantransportationoffice@gmail.com. An operator will ask for a description of the item as well as the time and date of your trip. We will then contact you as soon as possible if found.
  6. How many people can a taxi accommodate? Our sedans can accommodate four passengers. Certain vehicles can accommodate up to six passengers. If you need a high-occupancy vehicle, please inform us when you place your reservation.
  7. What areas does Yellow Cab serve? Yellow Cab serves Frederick City, Frederick County, and anywhere else.
    1. If a customer requests a taxicab outside of the Frederick City, when a  surcharge would be applied.
      1. For example, if a customer from Mount Airy requests a taxicab to take them a short distance, that is when a surcharge is applied. When you request service, this is a question they should tell you or you should ask.
  8. Can a taxicab wait for me at my destination? Yes, the wait fee is $24 per hour.
  9. What are your hours of operation? We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  10. Do you provide child seats? Unfortunately, due to the large variety in child seats, we cannot provide child seats for our customers. Customers may provide their own child seats.
  11. Can a taxicab pick me up on a weekly schedule? Yes. For example, if you need a ride every Monday at 7 A.M., let us know, and we can pre-schedule a taxicab for you for any length term.
